Boo Is Coming Back

For the final Vaguely Sunny concert of the year it will be a warm welcome back to the Island for Boo Hewerdine.

Boo made a very favourable impression at the gig at Quay Arts in September when he accompanied Heidi Talbot. Although only in a supporting role that night, it was evidently clear that he is a perceptive songwriter and performer. Boo began his career as a member of The Bible - contemporaries of bands like Aztec Camera and Prefab Sprout in the late eighties.

He is now a regular member of Eddi Reader's band and 'Patience of Angels' (on her second album) is one of the many songs by Boo that Eddi has covered.

Boo's strength's as a solo performer are his upbeat stage persona, excellent guitar playing, a fine voice and a wide-ranging repertoire. You can expect a mix of powerful songs mixed with quieter lyrical ones.

Tickets for the concert are £11.00 each, with a £10.00 concession for Quay Arts members. They can be booked by phoning Quay Arts on 01983-822490.
