Jackie Oates Concert Highly regarded English folk singer/fiddle player Jackie Oates is returning to the Island. Jackie was here last summer for two concerts with Karen Tweed at Bonchurch Old Church and Dimbola Lodge. Jackie's fourth album - which is called 'Saturine' - was released on September 12th. Songlines magazine recently said of Jackie "Her airy voice and clean fiddle lines sound natural and unforced'. She has certainly established herself as a major force in English folk music. Jackie and her band will be at Quay Arts, Newport on Thursday, September 29th at 8.00pm. Tickets for the concert are £11 with a £10 concession for Quay members and can be booked from the Quay Box Office on 01983-822490.
