Deborah Rose Concert

Welsh singer/songwriter Deborah Rose is returning to the Island for an afternoon of music and poetry in the Isle of Arts Festival.

Many of you will already know Deborah under her former name of Deborah Hodgson. After her first Isle of Wight appearance which was in the Big Top at the 2009 Isle of Wight Festival - she has returned several times for various gigs. In addition, Deborah also arranged the excellent Judy Collins concert at Osborne House last October where she was also the support act.

In the Isle of Arts Festival Deborah will be appearing at East Dene. Bonchurch on Sunday, April 22nd at 3.00pm. She will be accompanied by keyboard player Martin Riley.

Again, many of you will remember Martin's previous Isle of Wight appearance - playing superb keyboards for singer Cecilia Le Poer Power at Bonchurch Parish Church in 2010.

Fittingly for the former family home of the great Victorian poet Algernon Swinburne,

the East Dene event will also feature spoken word by respected Island poets including Ed Matyjaszek and Jeni Law.

Tickets are £6.50 each and can be booked by phoning 01983-862596 between 10.00am and 4.00pm or via the Festival website which is www.artsisle.org
