Cecilia Dazzles Audience

The fortunate few that filled Bonchurch Parish Church were gifted an absolute musical delight.

Cecilia Le Poer Power dazzled the audience with her hauntingly beautiful sweeping Celtic melodies and confident stage presence.

Her ability to seamlessly combine folk, classical and Celtic music into one marvellous melting pot had the audience absolutely transfixed for the entire two hours.

The range, tone and control with which Cecilia sings has earned her many admirers and seen her partake in various collaborations, both live and on record.

Cecilia was accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Martin Riley who also provides the string arrangements which are an intrinsic part of the original compositions such as Butterfly - a song which drifts between the traditional Celtic vocal sound of Enya and the more contemporary approach of Bjork.

Other crowd favourites were a stunning cover of the classic Bright Eyes and original composition Sancta Maria which can be found on Cecilia's forthcoming album.

If you are a fan of stunning vocals and great arrangements Cecilia Le Poer Power is a name to check out, and if you haven't yet been fortunate to attend a Vaguely Sunny production, it's highly recommended you keep your eyes open for the next one.
